Reality TV star Kim Kardashian served as a guest lecturer on Friday (01.20.23) at Harvard Business School.
The 42 year old star – who has launched several successful brands in recent years – spoke to students about her own experiences in the business world. Kim Kardashian delivered a two-hour seminar which she delved into her success with her popular shapewear brand SKIMS.
Sources told the publication that Kim was joined in the speaking engagement by her SKIMS co-founder Jens Grede, who she mentioned by first name in her Instagram caption. They addressed students in a course called Moving Beyond Direct-to-Consumer, which is led by the Harvard professors Len Schlesinger and Ayelet Israeli, along with executive fellow Matt Higgins.
Students stated that Kim Kardashian spoke for about an hour and 45 minutes as part of a direct-to-consumer seminar. As she left she smiled she was greeted by NBC10 Boston’s camera, saying she loved Boston. Kim Kardashian told waiting reporters how much she loved the city of Boston and she also waved at some of the students. She even tweeted in regards to her visit at Harvard Business School.
‘She talked about what she’d been working on and this new private equity firm and SKIMS. Although she was the star of the class, she appeared to have been more of a supplementary figure for the lecture. She was sitting off to the side but was still involved with the lecture,’ an attendee stated. The same attendee was star struck after getting a closer look at Kim. ‘She really looked just like she did on TV. She was stunning, and it was exactly how she’s pictured. That’s exactly what she looks like,’ the person gushed. ‘When she was leaving, she waved at us and said hi as she was walking out.’
