The iconic 16-time World Champion has wrestled at least once every year dating back to his rookie in 2002. That stretch was about to end, but he has just reassured his millions of fans that he’d step in the ring to keep his epic record alive. ‘I haven’t had a match in 2022 and we’re running out of chances,’ he teased.
Cena closed WWE Smackdown in the Chicago suburbs, where he made his debut. He left a video message to Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and his Bloodline stable. WWE tweeted the video in which the legend made the announcement of his return.
Cena made the announcement himself as he appeared unadvertised via a video link to the delight of the crowd and revealed he’ll be Kevin Owen’s partner for the blockbuster about on December 30 against Roman Reigns and Honorary Uce : Sami Zayn.
